Solar is Salient

The sun is an incredibly powerful source of energy, providing the energy that powers life on Earth. It is estimated that the sun provides enough energy to power the entire planet's biodome, if harnessed effectively. In this blog, we will explore the science behind this claim and the potential implications for our future.

The sun produces an enormous amount of energy through nuclear fusion. This process occurs in the sun's core, where high temperatures and pressure allow hydrogen atoms to combine and form helium. This fusion reaction releases energy in the form of light and heat, which radiates outwards from the sun in all directions.

This energy is received by the Earth in the form of sunlight. Sunlight is a form of electromagnetic radiation that travels through space and reaches the Earth's atmosphere. The Earth's atmosphere absorbs and reflects some of this energy, but a significant amount reaches the planet's surface.

If we could harness all of the energy that the sun sends to Earth, we would have a nearly limitless source of power. However, this is not currently possible with our current technology. While solar panels can convert sunlight into electricity, they are not yet efficient enough to capture all of the sun's energy.

However, as technology advances, it may become possible to harness a much larger percentage of the sun's energy. This will have significant implications for the future of our planet. In the next short years we will develop the technology to capture and use the sun's energy more effectively, we could reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and other non-renewable sources of energy.
